This programme is designed to ensure that young adults who have been in our care are able to adjust to independent living once they have finished school, especially if they are disabled. The programme offers a wide range of practical support to help them through these crucial years.
Named after two faithful missionaries who have served us so well in Taiwan, the Anderson Graduate Ministry came into being after the last polio survivor graduated from the Onesiphorus Children’s Home. It was clear that there was a need to extend care for our alumni with physical challenges.
The programme provides advice and practical assistance to the alumni to help them become more independent and mature as they move into further education. We provide support for those on low incomes, help with transport, help with residential upkeep and repairs, as well as accompanying them on trips to the doctor and hospital appointments. Whatever their need, our focus is on encouraging them to become truly independent.

Years ago, a young woman came to Onesiphorus Home with her brother. Troubled and unwilling to follow the rules, she repeatedly made poor choices. Sadly, we could not keep her at our home and she moved into foster care. We continued helping with education funds through our Anderson Graduate Ministry, but when she became an unwed mother, she stopped attending school.
Her Christian foster parents were a positive influence, and she eventually became a believer. She and her husband and five children are active in their local church. She writes, “I truly thank you for accepting me. You made me believe that I was worthy of being loved. Thank the Lord I saw Jesus’ love from you.”
