Please pray with us for the post-election situation in Lebanon

A huge thank you to all of our supporters who have been so kindly praying for peaceful elections in Lebanon in May 2022 and the start of a possible new era for this troubled country. The situation is especially important for us, as we serve up to 500 vulnerable Syrian refugee children and their families out there.

Praise God, the elections were generally very peaceful. But because the vote was spread across so many parties, it has been difficult for one individual party to implement a plan to kick start some sort of economic recovery. The Lebanese currency has since fallen even further against the $, causing more difficulties.

A shortage of flour and petrol is the latest setback. Fortunately our team has stocked up supplies of flour, although these won’t last much more than a few months, and petrol is crucial for us to get the children and their mums to and from our Dar el Awlad complex.

Please can you pray:

  • That the diverse elected groups would come together to form a coalition government and work together for the restoration, peace and prosperity of the country.
  • In particular, that an effective economic recovery plan will be agreed.
  • That there will be no further shortages of key commodities such as petrol and flour.
  • That God will continue to bless our work with vulnerable Syrian refugee children and their mothers and that we can continue to glorify Him through our work.
  • That God will protect the children we serve, their families and our staff, as we continue to minister to them.

Thank you so much again for your wonderful support.

God bless you.
