"Alive Moments" March 2026 - This season was marked by powerful moments of joy, trust, and renewed hope across Kids Alive communities

LEBANON

In February, a special Valentine’s Day celebration was held at our Dar El Awlad complex in Lebanon, bringing couples together for an evening of connection and encouragement. This year’s annual Couples’ Night focused on a powerful truth shared during the event: “Love is a practical force rooted in the love of God—received first, then lived out daily through choices of forgiveness, service, and encouragement.” It was a warm and uplifting time for couples to reflect on their relationships and be strengthened in their commitment to one another.

This event grew out of the wider work of the Lighthouse Project, which supports the mums and older sisters of children attending our school at the Dar El Awlad complex near Beirut. The project provides fellowship groups, literacy classes, psychosocial support, counselling, parental guidance, and more—creating a supportive space for women to grow and thrive. Couples’ Night is one expression of this work, helping to strengthen not just individuals, but families as a whole.

KENYA

Love that creates safety shows up every Saturday in Kenya.

At the Karundas Community Hope Centre—around three hours north of Nairobi—children from deeply impoverished backgrounds gather for mentorship, devotions, counselling and community, while caregivers are equipped to build stronger, healthier homes. Many of these children have lost a parent, face extreme poverty, and are at risk of child labour, early marriage and poor mental health.

Serving around 150 vulnerable children and their families, the Centre provides educational support, trauma counselling, parenting skills and life skills in a nurturing Christian environment. As some long-standing students move on to high school, our new Guardians’ Forum 2026 is welcoming more children from vulnerable families, ensuring this life-giving programme continues.

When caregivers lean in and communities rally together, love becomes protection—and mentorship becomes a pathway to lasting hope.

ZAMBIA

A new year. New milestones. And so much hope ahead.

At Kids Alive Academy in Zambia, 2026 is off to a beautiful start—welcoming 34 nursery students into the classroom for the very first time and celebrating 414 learners advancing to the next grade after passing their end-of-term exams.

Each number represents more than academic progress. It reflects safe classrooms, nourishing meals, trauma-informed care, and teachers who walk patiently with children as they grow in confidence, faith, and resilience.

This year, we’re praying for continued growth, joyful learning, and lasting transformation, for exam success, creativity, laughter, and holistic support that helps every child shine brighter.

Because when love creates safety, learning can flourish.

GUATEMALA

Kids Alive Guatemala welcomed Flor de María Gálvez Barrios, sitting Justice of Guatemala’s Supreme Court, to Oasis Vida para Niños.

The visit, held following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Guatemala’s Judicial Branch, offered an opportunity to see firsthand how comprehensive, trauma-informed care supports girls on a path toward healing, dignity, and hope. Justice Gálvez Barrios met with Kids Alive leadership, toured the Oasis campus, and learned more about the multidisciplinary care that surrounds each child.

Her presence reflects growing trust and collaboration between Kids Alive Guatemala and the national justice system—an important step forward in advancing restorative, child-centred justice across the country.

PERU

We’re celebrating a new cooperation agreement between Kids Alive Perú (Niños a la Vida) and the Local Education Management Unit (UGEL) of Coronel Portillo – Ucayali, which strengthens shared efforts to prevent violence and protect adolescents in public schools.

Through this partnership, teachers and school leaders in Yarinacocha will be trained in Jugando Nos Fortalecemos (“Strengthening Through Play”)—a participatory approach that builds self-protection skills, encourages healthy relationships, and supports early identification of risk.

By working hand in hand with education authorities, Kids Alive International is helping equip educators as key agents of change, creating safer, more resilient schools where adolescents can learn, grow, and live free from violence.

HAITI

Christmas throwback!  Students at Kids Alive School in Haiti gathered to celebrate the greatest gift of all—Jesus coming to dwell among us, opening the way for new life in Christ and welcoming us into a global family of faith.

Through laughter, sharing, and moments of pure joy, children were reminded that they are seen, loved, and surrounded by hope.

At Kids Alive Haiti, restorative education wraps children in stability, care, and the love of Christ—creating spaces where smiles return, faith grows, and hope for the future takes root.

Because when love shows up consistently, joy follows.
