Denise Dagher shares a powerful update from Lebanon, highlighting how Kids Alive is supporting children and families affected by ongoing conflict.
27th May 2026 - An update from Lebanon: How the war is impacting children and families

As the war continues throughout Lebanon, the impact on children and vulnerable families is becoming increasingly severe. In this moving update video, Denise Dagher, Kids Alive Lebanon’s Country Director, shares how the crisis is affecting the communities we serve — and how our staff are continuing to respond with courage, compassion and faith.
Despite the uncertainty and fear surrounding them, our team in Lebanon remains committed to protecting and supporting children through our school, family support programmes and emergency outreach work. Many of the children we serve are experiencing deep anxiety and trauma as airstrikes, displacement and instability continue across the country. Families are struggling to access work, food and basic necessities, while many displaced households are living in temporary shelters or overcrowded conditions.

Denise explains how Kids Alive staff are continuing to provide practical support including food vouchers, essential supplies, emotional care and psychosocial support for children and families living through the crisis. Teachers and caregivers are also helping children process fear and uncertainty, reminding them that they are loved, valued and not forgotten. Denise also shares inspiring stories of resilience, faith, and community, as families open their homes to one another and staff continue to serve sacrificially despite the challenges around them.
Please continue to pray for Lebanon — for peace, protection and hope for the children and families caught up in the conflict, and for wisdom and strength for our staff as they continue this vital work each day.
