Residential Care

Once a child has been rescued, where necessary we care for them in one of our residential homes, especially those who have been subject to physical or sexual abuse; or have been completely abandoned. Where possible we will seek to reintegrate them back into their wider family/ community.

This remarkable programme cares for young girls who have been victims of the worst cases of sexual abuse and have been referred to us by the local courts. We provide love, support, trauma informed care, as well as pursuing justice against the perpetrators through our team of lawyers. Oasis is our holistic residential care centre and "La Arquilla" is our specialised programme within Oasis that cares for young mothers.

Cares for about 35 of the most vulnerable Syrian refugee children in Lebanon, mainly those who have either been abandoned or have lost their parents as they fled from the war. The children are certainly well cared for – including trauma informed care, food, trauma counselling, a lot of love and spiritual input, with all of them attending the Dar el Awlad school.

Based in an impoverished part of Puerto Plata, this programme provides an excellent education to 220 of the community’s most impoverished and vulnerable children. It is especially strong at introducing children to IT and more recently has taken on a trained trauma informed counsellor to help the many children who have suffered trauma.
